About us

The Eden Roskill Camera Club is a small, enthusiastic and friendly club, which has established a reputation for high standards of work.

Its aim is to enable members to improve their ability to produce good images and to have fun, within a mutually supportive environment.

The club has been in existence for half a century. The advent of digital photography has greatly facilitated the access of many people, of many age groups, to photography as a form of aesthetic expression, and this is reflected in the growing membership of our club.

The club meets on the second Monday each month at the Wesley Community Centre, Sandringham Road Extension, Sandringham at 7.30pm. Workshops and talks by invited guests are held in some months on the fourth Monday, while outings are arranged from time to time.

At the monthly meetings emphasis is on evaluating and critiquing images rather than equipment, but as club membership includes people with a diverse range of skills including professional photographers, expert advice is readily available and freely given.

Visitors are always warmly welcomed, both members from other clubs or people who might be considering joining a club and want to know what goes on.

It is gratifying to see how quickly some newcomers progress and the pleasure they derive from this form of personal expression.
